In this issue, TechHope Transitions highlights progress in two key areas: strengthening our presence in Connecticut and deepening our international partnerships in technology education. From joining the Bridgeport Regional Business Council to contributing to the Artificial Intelligence Technologies Summer School in Lviv these initiatives reflect our commitment to building meaningful connections, advancing tech education, and creating long-term impact in both the United States and Ukraine.


Strengthening Our Connecticut Presence Through the Bridgeport Regional Business Council



As TechHope Transitions continues to expand its business presence in the United States, we are pleased to announce that we have joined the Bridgeport Regional Business Council (BRBC) https://www.brbc.org/.


The BRBC brings together businesses, nonprofit organizations, civic leaders, and community stakeholders from Bridgeport, Stratford, Trumbull, and the surrounding region. Through economic development, advocacy, professional education, networking, and collaboration, BRBC works to strengthen the local business community and create opportunities for shared regional growth.


For TechHope Transitions, joining BRBC represents an important step in becoming more deeply connected to the community it calls home. As a Connecticut-based nonprofit with an international mission, the organization recognizes that lasting global impact begins with strong local relationships.


BRBC membership helps TechHope Transitions build local relationships and introduce more Connecticut organizations to its mission. By connecting U.S. companies with vetted Ukrainian IT and engineering talent, THT creates value for both sides: access to trusted technical expertise for U.S. businesses and sustainable career opportunities for Ukrainian students, women, veterans, and technology professionals.


In June, representatives of TechHope Transitions attended the BRBC Annual Meeting and Leadership Celebration at the University of Bridgeport. The event brought together leaders from across the Greater Bridgeport business community to recognize regional achievements, exchange ideas, and celebrate the individuals and partnerships helping shape the area’s future.


The gathering provided an important opportunity for TechHope Transitions to meet local business and civic leaders, better understand the priorities of the region, and discuss how international technology partnerships can help organizations address workforce, innovation, and delivery needs.


The conversations reinforced a shared belief that economic growth is strongest when businesses, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders work together. They also highlighted the potential for Connecticut organizations to participate in partnerships that create local business value while supporting technology education and economic opportunity in Ukraine.


TechHope Transitions looks forward to becoming an active member of the BRBC community. Through BRBC, we hope to contribute to economic opportunity in Connecticut, connect regional organizations with trusted technology resources, and create durable partnerships that benefit communities both locally and internationally.


Building Global Connections Through AI Education



TechHope Transitions continued its collaboration with Ivan Franko National University of Lviv this summer through participation in the Artificial Intelligence Technologies Summer School 2026 (AITss).


The event brought together 1335 participants from 60 countries, including 736 students representing 227 educational institutions - 146 Ukrainian and 126 international along with 333 university lecturers and researchers and 266 IT industry professionals. This year’s program featured 70 speakers from 21 countries, creating a unique platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and discussion of the latest developments in artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, computer vision, natural language processing, and data science.


Representing TechHope Transitions, Shane Molinari participated in the program as a guest lecturer and as a referee for the student technical project competition.


Molinari delivered two lectures addressing emerging risks and practical engineering challenges. The first, “Quantum Risk to AI Systems: What Every Engineer Should Understand About Harvest-Now, Decrypt-Later,” examined the long-term security implications of quantum computing for artificial intelligence systems and the need for organizations to begin preparing for post-quantum cryptography.


The second lecture, “Engineering With AI Coding Assistants: Productivity, Pitfalls, and What to Verify,” explored how developers can use AI coding tools while preserving engineering rigor. The session focused on structured verification, secure software development, dependency risk, human oversight, and the importance of validating AI-generated code before it is introduced into production environments.


In addition to the lectures, Molinari served as a referee for student projects. The role included reviewing technical presentations, evaluating the students’ reasoning and implementation, and engaging with participants as they explained and defended their work.


Reflecting on the experience, Molinari said:

“I am sincerely grateful to PhD, Associate Professor of the System Design Department Vasyl Lyashkevych, the AITss organizing committee, the faculty, staff, volunteers, and students of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv for the opportunity to participate in AITss 2026. It was a privilege to support the university and a program that is helping prepare the next generation of AI professionals. I am also grateful for the opportunity to ustrengthen the relationship between TechHope Transitions and Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. I look forward to continuing our collaboration and supporting future efforts that advance AI education, international cooperation, and innovation.”


TechHope Transitions recognizes the work required to organize and deliver a program of this scale. AITss 2026 demonstrated the value of bringing students, educators, researchers, and industry practitioners together to examine technical challenges and share practical knowledge.
